SA - Fix | Manufacturers and Distributors of Building Fixings and Fastners

In 1979, Mr. Arnold Smith was relocated by the British company for whom he worked, to South Africa to run the branch in Johannesburg. However, in 1981, they pulled out of South Africa, leaving a gap in the market. Mr. Smith saw this as a great opportunity and decided to stay with his wife and 2 children. He rented offices in Germiston, and S.A. Fix was born.

Since then, the company has grown gradually year by year, and is now one of just a few local manufacturers of plastic products. Our premises in Strydom Park, Johannesburg covers an area of 3500 square meters, with warehouses, factories and an office block. We have our own injection and blow molding machines with which we manufacture wall plugs, cable clips, hammer plugs, hawks, floats, buckets and watering cans.

We import from China a large range of fasteners, including dry-wall screws, chipboard screws, self-tapping screws, coach screws, nuts, washers, threaded rod, just to name a few. Being a versatile company, we pack according to our customers' requirements, supplying our products in bulk or packed, including in-house branding for our customers.
We strive to provide excellence in quality, service, reliability and customer satisfaction. We conduct our operation with integrity and honesty, and try to create business relationships that are beneficial to our customers and employees.

S.A. Fix is now a family run business, with Mr. and Mrs. Smith at the helm. Our staff of 40 includes sales representatives, operations and office managers, drivers and packers. Our social economic development plan includes providing work to the under-privileged, the aged, and the mentally and physically handicapped.

Although we have only the one branch in Johannesburg, our sales team travel to all major cities, including Cape Town and Durban. We use well established transport companies to deliver anywhere in South Africa, as well as other countries in Southern Africa, including Botswana, Swaziland and Namibia.

We are proud to be a local manufacturer, employing South Africans and using local raw materials in our production of the plastic products. We strive to continue growing and being a company that benefits our customers and our economy.
